did anyone else put eggs in there incubator today

My incubator is now holding its temperature within 0.5 degrees celsius, so I put two eggs in this morning. I'm not even sure what kind of chicken they are from - they were free with the incubator. Fertile eggs are about $3.00 each at present, even for cross-bred chickens, so I will stick with the two free eggs for my first try. My inner pessimist says that one will be infertile and one will be a rooster. Who knows?

Good luck everybody

I'm at less than 48 hours in and I'm so anxious! It's going to be a very lonnnnnggggg three weeks. :)

My incubator is holding steady at right about 99.5 to 100.0

We are planning to candle on Sunday. My parents will be visiting so it should be a good time for all.

Hi All,
I put 17 eggs that my neighbor brought up. I put them in bator at 6 a.m. today. He also brought me a bator, LG. I'm watching it all the time, as I've heard nothing but bad things about them. So far so steady.

Some people have good experiences with them. But I didn't, when the sun would set, the house would warm up, and I'd end up with baked eggs!

Good Luck!

12 Coturnix eggs! We're starting small to try it out... Also, 15 dual purpose "mutts" go into the school incubator tomorrow for a pre-spring-break hatch. Shhh.... don't tell the kids they'll be eaten.....

I candled tonight, because I absolutely cannot control myself (obviously) and I saw lots of veining

Really? Already? Oh geez. How am I going to wait until the weekend to candle now???????

I put mine in on the 20th also, to anxious also. tried candling last night and didnt see anything. I am going to try to wait till day 10 to try again. I have 15 cochin bantam eggs in there. my homemade bator is holding nicely at 99.0-100.0, and humidity 47-50. I dont know how Im going to raise it for lockdown, as I gone to extreme measures to get it 50%. good to hear someone can already see veins!
