did anyone else put eggs in there incubator today

Thanks! I'm going to have to go out and pick up a better light, if it would ever just quit snowing today......

I have looked at those pictures so many times and I think that's what's confusing me. They are just soooo good. I not going to worry about it until I get a better light. I hope that's what the problem is.

And now I'm off to smell my eggs. HAHA

Howdy!!

I set 14 Turken eggs this morning and I will be setting 15 Show girl eggs tomorrow morning. I would have set them together but they arried two days a part.

I like to give shipped eggs 24 hours to settle.

I already have a few silkie and Cucu and Black Copper Marans and some real nice Blue and Black Copper Marans in....Yes I have four incubators running.......

I found a real bright tiny 5 LED light flashlight at a Pilot gas station for $2.99. It works great for darker eggs liike the Marans eggs. You have to try to isolate the light but this little light is the perfect size to put against the eggs.

I added an automatic turner this time to one incubator. I hope it helps get the hatch rate up. I have had about 80% on the fertile eggs so far. If the turner helps I will be adding some to all four. Luckily the chicks I am hatching are paying for all the equipment.

I use an LED flashlight cheapy thing that I bought as Walmart

At your suggestion, I went to Walmart and bought an LED light.
My 4 year old and 6 year old daughters helped me candle our eggs tonight. I just couldn't keep my hands off of them until Sunday.
It appears that we have 8 doing nothing. We're going to leave them for a few more days just to make sure, but they look pretty darn clear.
We have 6 Maybes. There was something going on, but we couldn't see any veining so we are going to check them out in a few days and see if there is any change.
And we have 10 (!!!!) Smiley Faces
