Did anyone set eggs on June 9th? Wanna hatch with me?

Oh no

Hope these ones hatch for you

I have 10 left out of 12, which is pretty cool considering where they came from. The pic of the quail trying to look up over the egg carton is ADORABLE! I think one of my eggs could be a double yoker because last night while candling I saw 2 black dots moving around but we'll see. I hope everyone else is having good candling results!

Last candling in 3 days (Must resist the urge to handle/introduce contaminants with candling). I smelled the eggs today. No odor, and all shells seem to be full and occupied.

If I get a 100% hatch rate, I just might bronze my rooster.

He is wonderful with children, is smart, and apparently goes for a 100% fertilization rate.

Go Duck!

(Small story...)

We have a hatch!!!!!!

A little BO, looks blonde & shiney now that it's starting to dry!! It hatched at 8:30 pm tonight and I wasn't expecting anything to happen till Sunday! 8 more have pipped just can't keep myself from standing there with my nose at the window!!! I have a question...since I am new at this (1st time incubating)...can someone tell me: The new chick is trying to walk (on 20 mins. old & he was trying to walk!) anyway, he is falling and rolling all over the bator...moving the other eggs as he falls around. What do I do. He is not dry & I am worried with him moving the other eggs. HELP.....someone tell me what to do so I can relax.
(big sigh.....) I'm so happy but very nervous!!!

Where are you chicken friends when I need you most??? Wake up people!!!! I don't know what to do.....this little chick is soooo active! I'm worried about my other eggs being moved around so much. I also don't know if or when I should move him. If more hatch and all the eggs are pipping (which they are) I will have more chicks walkin all over the eggs that are trying to hatch. Should I just go to bed (and try to sleep)? I feel like I have to watch out for the eggs that are in process. I'm gettin sleepy (sigh...), ......oh, what to do....what to do....

Totally normal....relax. They stumble around...bang into each other and other eggs then suddenly flop down with their legs all stretched out looking like they are dead. Ten seconds later and they are up and at it again.

Don`t move him. Soon they will all be doing the same thing and they aren`t going to hurt each other. I think it is preparation for all the bullying and pecking order stuff when they get older. Plus they enourage each other to move about and get those new bodies going. The worst thing you could do is open your incubator and risk shrink wrapping your pipped eggs.
Hang in there...maybe going to sleep would be best although watching them is so much FUN

Don`t give into the temptation:pop

I have four little chicks now....so exciting

we were suppose to go out to dinner tonight and I cancelled because I was so tired. Now home to hatching chicks (a day before we anticipated) and I am wide awake.
We have one pipping at the wrong end so keeping a close watch on that one.

Can`t wait to see your photos.

Bronze your rooster and that new incubator...sounds like it is working well.
Good luck with the final run.
