Did he sell me all his roos as "hens" warning pic heavy

I will take better pics of 1 and its sibling who are suppose to about 4 months old as well as #3 whole body, who is suppose to be older. The one that is in 4and 5 that we know is a roo....his colors are unusual and will count toes...lol just like a newborn. He is suppose to be a year old. As a matter of fact they are all suppose to be a year old except for 1 and 3. Can't wait for the sun to come up, I look forward to it each morning just so I can let the chickens out and watch them with the kids.

Did you know chickens don't like to stand still and pose for pictures, sheez worse than kids. They have to fidget and move around

I agree with snowy, I was so happy then I was like oh no, then DH came home pulled me on the internet for more research pics and said no worries. He and you guys helped me get back on track. I want our little "farm" to work so bad I can taste it literally, the eggs....the veggies... Just not that one roo, Boy I hope he isnt a meatie, too nice and sweet. The kids even changed the words to old mcdonalds farm for a song for me. Gotta love em'

I do have one rule on Gaia's farm, no mean animals, so any will get worked with or will be rehomed with the info that they are not nice, or when I can get the kids away for awhile dispense of said animal.
D.H. says he wont eat our birds unless we got meat birds, he couldn't do it as a kid.

Hi there again! You must think I'm crazy asking about how nany toes no4 has--I'm not---just forgetful, because I didn't add that Anda;usians have 5 toes. As I think that it might be some kind of cross between that and Black Cornish (what we im the UK call Indian Game)--the reference to supper was because this cross was often done to produce a good sized table-bird which was very tasty!!! I'm going to have a go at it this year as I love having roos about---they are so beautiful--and I seem to hatch so many!!!!! I'm lucky as my neighbors are very tolerant----SO FAR............!!!!! Good luck with your flock. Chickens are GREAT!!!!!!!

Well roo buddy has 4 toes, gray/green legs with hard to tell under sides of feet, almost same color as legs, may be able to see some pink under there, no rump feathers, he is a mystery.

He got picked on I think so he and his little black girlfriend are now in my classroom in the make shift infirmary. The side of his beak got a boo boo. Hasn't tried to go over the baby gates any. WEIRD..... She did when I took him out to inspect him, as soon as I put him back she wanted back in. This is so cool. His little girlfriend looks different than him only similarity is she is black. They are the odd couple out with the rest of the flock. Uh oh, gotta get more black chickens I guess.

Editted to add I just love the sound of her cooing at him, It is so awesome.

I didn't see a single roo-ish saddle feather on any of them. By 16 weeks saddle & hackle feathers should be VERY obvious on a roo, as well as the comb and wattles. #4 just looks like some kind of game bird or game cross, they tend to stand up straighter than other breeds.

Heyyyy that looks like my chicken lol except he has no tail. I turned and looked at my oegb in the brooder and thought holy cow same neck feathers. My big guy, possiblt girl has some irridescent green/black feathers. Couldn't see where he/she could have possibly lost tail feathers though.
My oegb is scared to death of them. So that wont work. Hmmm
I googled andalusians all I got was horses.

So I may have ended up with a couple of game birds or crosses?

I thought game birds were suppose to be a little aggressive, I hope he/they don't get that way. Then I have to get them new homes

Heshe watches me so intently, I am falling in love with this silly bird.
