I feed crumbles, not pellets, so I'm not sure what picture you might be referring to.Is that pellet feed on the ground?
Maybe the pictures in the very first post, where the chicks are standing on some kind of pellets?I feed crumbles, not pellets, so I'm not sure what picture you might be referring to.
Oh yeah, I was only looking at the last couple of pages. Those pellets are just pelleted bedding. Did away with that quickly, it was just too heavy for me to deal with on a daily basis. We use it in our cat litter boxes, but we aren't changing those out every day like I was the brooder. I know there are people who use it in their coops, and I might switch to it eventually and attempt to scoop like a cat box... I really like the straw and my girls love the nesting down in it and scratching through it, but it's really starting to pile up where we decided to designate the chicken dump pile.Maybe the pictures in the very first post, where the chicks are standing on some kind of pellets?
(I'm guessing those pellets are the kind that are made of sawdust and sold as animal bedding, but in photos they tend to look very much like pelleted feed.)
