Our little Japanese Bantam silkie apparrantly got picked on
did we do the right thing?
These chickens have been getting along just fine until I guess sometime between 11am this morning & 2pm.

1.) I removed her from the pen, and separated the other chick of the same size
from the other set of bantams in the pen.

2.) we brought her home to clean her up and see exactly what was going on.
It looks worse than it actually is except for the fact she was the target...right?

I washed with a antibacterial soap just a tiny bit, and dresses with an triple antibiotic salve.
We plan to give her another wash tomorrow at least trying to get her feathers clean.

We'll keep her separated until she's a little healed

She's just as calm and sweet back here at the house, I'm sure her brother
is pitching a fit, but I'm sure hell be alright for a short time without her.

She is such an amazing color (We are really hoping it's a she....???

I just brought her home and treated her like a kid wash it out and keep it clean.

We put together a calendula soothing balm last night, with a touch of honey & yarrow.
Putting a little oregano in her feed, All have a healing property. She's happy this morning, We're going to check on the sibling with some treats for having to be alone for the night.

Looked much better with cleaner feathers and dry today
We moved the sibling back in and this is apparrantly not the one which pecked Silkie
Both birds are so happy to be back together
They even had a little chicken yoga tonight
IDK they laid on their sides stretching their leg and then their wing, settle down a minute and
back at it again...LOL
Craziest thing I ever seen...HA to bad I didn't have my video camera cause I'd sure have set it to some
soothing new age tunes and put it on my youtube acct....LOL
Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll do it again
