Did I end up with all roosters?

The grey one is a boy, as is the red one. I don't think he is pure RIR though.. Way too light.. The silkie is a rooster, but I love silkie roos.. You should keep him if you are allowed boys. 10 x 10 is big enough for 25 chickens if you count 4 SF per chicken, but I would go for more like 15. The black one is a girl, and the one with the crest may be as well. I can't say 100% for sure, as the picture doesn't show it up close.

This is my RIR hen. Notice how she is nearly black? The colour should be deep burgundy.

Here's the one that everyone seems to agree is a pullet..posting her pics just to make sure she is a pullet before I contact this guy that sold them to me...

I bought the blue silkie knowing it was a rooster, so we do want to keep him (we live out in the boondocks where everyone's properties are five acre minimum so a rooster crowing isn't a big deal, lol). I figured for my first rooster he'd be calm and docile compared to other breeds of roosters. So I am definitely keeping him.

Just emailed that guy to see if we can trade back the RIR and the silver rooster to get pullets...we'll see what he says. Not sure how honest he is now, they knew I only wanted girls.

Not to mention....if he lives an hour and a half away from you, it will be a 3-hour round trip to return them - IF the seller even responds to the email. Another option might be to chalk this one up to experience, and eat these roos. Going into Spring, there will be a lot more available in the coming months and you might be able to find some closer.

Oh yes, either way I'm definitely chalking this up to experience...and learning more about sexing chickens for sure

. From everyone responding to this post I've learned a lot and I really appreciate it.
If this guy won't take them back then I'll probably try to re-home them with craigslist...if that doesn't work I can post a sign out by the street that I have two roosters available.
Everyone is getting along right now so it's not like I need them gone right away...I've got time to figure out what to do if this guy won't take them back.
