@john_wrightson2003 yes, absolutely. The only problem with hatching quail is that you get addicted pretty fast. In the 'Quail hatch a long' thread people hatch quail an average of twice per month so there is plenty of knowledge there. And yes, mine start laying eggs between 45 and 55th day, and that's the age they are ready to butcher.

@DK newbie I also hatch both chicken and quail at the same time.. no issues so far. BTW why don't you join the "Quail Hatch a long' thread? When are your quail due to hatch?

The quail hatched just before the weekend, the chickens Saturday and Sunday. 28 quail chicks and 14½ chicken chicks. I can't keep up with the hatch along thread - people are posting waaaay to much in it
