Did I over do my nest boxes?

My nest boxes are 28 1/2 of the ground and they are 16x16x16. I think I messed up! I cant change it now though. If they are to tall I can build a ramp I guess. I am just nervous. If you are wondering what kind of chooks I am getting look at my sig.

I think it'll be ok as long as they have a perch to fly up to on the front...

The Silkies probably won't go up to the boxes. They would rather nest on the ground.
