I let my chickens out to free range and they have only been out for about 10 minutes and then one of my rooster(a easter egg mix) thats about 6 months old walked behind the bushes in the yard then i got a bowl of corn and was throwing it to some of the chickens near by and then the rooster walked from behind the bushes and headed across the driveway and then I threw a piece of corn near him and he ate it so I through another and he went to walk toward it and halfway there he stopped and and nealed down a bit then wobbled back and forth a couple times then just dropped on his side then flopped around a couple times so I picked him up and walked him to the coop and layed him downa nd he was breathing with his eyes closed and still then when I had my hand on his chest feeling him breath then he flapped around a few times and then I layed out on the ground in the pen so he wouldnt hurt himself by hitting his head on the feeder or wall and he falpped around again and stopped breathing and passed away

but I want to know what went wrong and what happend? again he's only about 6 months and hadent been in a fight with another rooster or anything please any feedback would be appreciated.

All signs point towards a heart attack. By any chance did his comb and wattles darken significantly? This would be another sign of a heart attack.

I'm so sorry. I think its a heart attack, you don't need to worry about the rest of your flock. Sometimes things happen like that

Thank you and I hate how he had one hen that was a white silkie that hatched with him they were the only two that hatched and grew up together and now she's gonna be lost without him and the other chickens arent friends with her and shes byherself now and is scared of the others and I about cryed thinking about it

but I hope she goes with one of the young silkie roosters a couple weeks older then her

She'll be okay, it may take some time for her to make a new attachment to another bird but she will. I had the same thing happen when my favorite hen Baby died and her best buddy Snub was lost without her. It took a while, but she befriended one of my other older RSL girls.
