Did something change?

On my alerts, for a while, it would show say 5, if I went andread one, it would automatically mark that ONE as "read" then it would show 4 on the alert symbol. Etc.... I was also able to "mark read" each one individually without going to the thread if I chose.

So today, it will show say 5, if I so much as look at them all by clicking on the alert symbol, it will then no longer show which are new. It marks them ALL read. So I have to guess what time I was on last to know which ones are in fact new. (And hope I can remember the original number it said on the alert symbol.) THere is also no longer the option to "mark read" each alert individually. (I LOVED that part. LOL)

This occured between when I got off of here last night, and when I got on this morning.

Is it a "fluke" or did the powers that be change something?

Now there's a little dot on bottom right of each notification. Dark is unread. Empty circle is read.
