I had two mallard hens that layed 11 fertilized eggs total. I do not know which day the eggs are at but I'm guessing they're at AT LEAST 3 weeks.
One hen was killed and the other took her eggs into her own nest and she is sitting all 11 eggs. I candled the eggs last week and they were very dark (except for the air bubble at the top) and heavy. In some eggs veins were visible.
I candled them again today to see how they were doing and I couldn't see anything in any of the eggs except for the air bubble. I used a flashlight in a pitch black room, not a real candler. Is this normal or is it possible that all 11 ducklings died?
Please help!
