I think our chickens have bumble foot. Out of 9 white leghorns 6 had it. My mom tolled me that i should have taken care of it ASAP. Well i did'nt. It started with one (that i know of) And now 5 more! We (dad) dug out the black thing and put anti-bacterea on it and bandad them.

Bumblefoot is caused by a scrape or cut to the bottom of the foot. If so many of your birds have it, you need to figure out what's happening in their environment that's causing the initial injury.

As far as the treatment, it sounds like you've done it well. Did you get out any pus or foul-smelling gook?

I have no idea! We have wood chips in are yard and the like to scrach in them? I dont know. Is there any thing i can do?

The wood chips in your yard might be the answer, esp. if they are sharp or splintered, though sparkles is right, this has caused bumblefoot in others.
