Did you get any chicken related gifts for Christmas?

i love the barn boots and the duck pen. great practical things.

and i love that bright colored rooster a few posts above.

I was really lucky and found a "DUCK XING" sign for my husband. We had discussed needing one, but I was surprised to find one locally, just in time for Christmas.

I received two books from my mom, that she had, btw, pre-read, called "Enslaved by Ducks" and "Fowl Weather." The author has a good sense of humor and is married to a pet and duck addict.

I also received a man's rain jacket. I had requested it. They just don't make FUNCTIONAL attire for women. It drives me nuts.

My boots are men's boots and my wool hat is also a man's hat. I guess women aren't supposed to muck around in the barn and all.

I got a 40 gallon Rubber Maid tote box, a red heat lamp, a reflector shield and a roll of hardware cloth. Also a promise for a larger coop soon.
I am going to the calendar kiosk at the mall this weekend looking for discounted calendars. They still had a bunch of chicken ones on Dec. 24th.

Love all of your gifts and those IOUs on the coops. I had already used my birthday IOU and the coop was done about 2 weeks after my birthday and just in time for this cold weather.

As for muck - boy do I love their boots. I got a pair on sale about 2 mos ago and loved them, so I got 2 pair for my DS and DIL. They love them too. And they come in dual sizes mens and womens.

I got the incubator I wanted, and DH got me a marketing kit for my chicken stuff. Business cards and Ad cards. He had our advertising guy make them up, did a great job.

I wanted a table saw for xmas, got a tanzie ring instead..dh said it was safer cause he didn't have to worry about what he would find ripped apart when he got home. un I guess I can hope for v-day
