Did you know..... Chat Thread! W/ Hosts: DwayneNLiz, kwhites634, BantyChooks, MotorcycleChick, C

I'm retired; don't HAVE to go anywhere, except to the bowling alley once a week, 9 months/year. Not unusual for the truck not to move from one bowling night to the next.
My usual fishing spot is only 5 miles away.
I hunt deer on my own property 90% of the time. Only other property I hunt is about 10 miles away.
Feed store about 6 mi. away.
Most of what I buy I buy online from Amazon, except for lumber, & Lowes is only 7 miles from here
I combine trips whenever I can.
I spent a good part of the year building a fairly large equipment shed, mostly alone, which naturally kept me home a good deal.

Wow Whites I put that on in less than 2 years..... But everything is pretty far away here.... When i worked I drove 100 miles a day..... Not so much any more but still way more than you.....
400

Had fresh walleye sandwiches for dinner last night..... Yummy

Oh wow! Good luck with that! I can barely keep my own 3 from melting down, fed & entertained till midnight. You must be a Saint.
it was only my sister, her daughter and my sisters boyfriend. they actually ended up leaving early becuase my sister got a tummy bug
and today my daughter and husband have it

DYK I drove <2,600 miles in 2016
Just over 60K total
Not bad for an 11yr old truck
lol, good for you, that truck will last forever
BUT how many miles did your DW drive?

Did you now that I think about absent members more than is sane? I have that long list of coffee (and hot chocolate) customers, and about half are never around. I miss them. But I am afraid to say it very often.

Did you know that I do the same thing. Several are deceased, others have moved to facebook, some are dealing with personal issues -------------------- I miss them, and the list is far too long.

Did you know "This year the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl will be played on January 2, not New Year’s Day as usual. This is actually part of the little known “Never on a Sunday” tradition. The Rose Parade faced a dilemma in 1893, as New Year’s Day fell on a Sunday. Parade organizers were afraid that the parade would spook the horses located outside of churches along the parade route for Sunday services. The “Never on a Sunday” exception has been observed ever since even though people no longer use horses to get around Pasadena (or anywhere obviously). This year will be the 15th time the exception has come into play."
