Yea, the only thing we caught was a chicken in one

DYK I am actually pleased with three of the sketches I have done lately?
One of my hens got caught in one. I don't leave it set anymore when the birds are out

If I leave a live trap baited, half the time I catch my own dog or the old tomcat that is so rediculously fat. Neither have attacked my birds, but I still have the trap around in case I need it.

Did you know I saw a dead raccoon on the highway this morning, dangerously close to my driveway? I've never seen a raccoon out here before.

I see racoon's all over the highway here - but i've never seen one on our property, near our property, or around our property... but they surely exist. We just have enough dogs and big animals to scare them off.

Quote: $10 says you have more coons on your property than you know. Being nocturnal, they don't show themselves much during the day. Leave garbage out in plastic bags overnight for a couple nights; you'll likely find a bag torn open before long. Get Pop to spend a few nights outside with a powerful light; my guess is he'll see one, or more.

Quote: I quit chasing chickens. If I can't herd them back to the coop, which I usually can, they're on their own. They usually spend the night in a nearby tree or on top of the coop. Had one decide to roost on the tarp covering the run a couple weeks ago. They ain't real bright.

I wanted to be a vet when I was a lot younger than I am now, but I didn't have the $$ to go to college.

lol these five roost in a tree nearby. TBH I was hoping two of the roosters became owl bait but hasn't happened yet :/

Yea, the debit scares me :th dad suggested scholarships and what not. DYK I gotta see a surgery on the school cow from the dairy herd that had a infection so rare the Dr that wants me to become a vet never seen it in 40 years of her working there?

DYK we were up there cuz our herd is her favorite to use for students doing her smalle ruminate class? :D

DYK I unfortunately have escapees that I can't catch? :p

Also DYK I have a Dr at the vet school wanting me to become a veterinarian so bad she can taste it :th

Do you want to be a vet? If you do; grab the opportunity and see if there's any helper work you can do. Competition to get into vet school right now is so fierce that any possible advantage should be taken.
