Did you know I have a problem with my hens...

I have about 80 layer hens, I have released them from all pens and cages to free range... I was averaging 60-70 eggs a day...

I am now down to 20....I would have thought the numbers would have went up when they are eating bugs, grass and seeds... Silly stupid birds...

Did you know that my chickens are producing enough eggs to pay for their feed and have extra, if we didn't eat them all?

i dont get enough to sell :/
and we rarely eat them
i give them to my dad sometimes and my neighbor
and i am paying my horse sitter in eggs too
it takes a few days to get enough

I'm hoping that the whole mess of new pullets I have outside will boost egg production to over a dozen a day so I can sell some. 2 dozen a week would take care of feed.
