Actually, an online vegan has been telling me that because I cull extra cockerels for the table, I should take my chickens out into the woods and let them all go free, even though they would all die in the wild. Bonkers? Heartless? Naive?

My step sons girlfriend is all upset because we have been trying to get rid of foxes on our property. Mind you were live in town in the first place. . they don't need to be here. Not enough food to go around for them. She thinks we should relocate them instead. . ok so nevermind if my ducks get killed . . or someone else's chickens or duck that's ok I guess. she would rather us make them someone else's problem. She says we are terrible people for killing them.

Oh boy. Or would that be..."oh girl!" I have foxes here...we have friends that have pets foxes... and they want mine should I catch them. They feed them and everything and they live a l-o-n-g ways away...so that "could" be a win-win.

Otherwise no. Just no. Putting them in another foxes territory can mean death to that fox and it won't be nearly as nice as the death you would give it. There's more to the story than that first step of release in another area. I think people just don't want to think that far into the process. They prefer the "fairytale" endings.

Except there is no fairytale endings.
