It can effect things from blood sugar, to fertility, thyroid, and many other hormones from your endocrine system. You'd need a doctor to diagnose it though.

Because in people who are allergic, it creates an auto immune response. If gluten makes you sick, you'll know after you stop eating it for a while. You'll go from being bloated, cramping, headaches, blood tests being out of whack, (I created an off blood cell count, and my body would attack itself.) I shed the lining of my intestines, etc, the irritability it causes is unmissable once you know what to look for. .

Quoting messed up, so it put half my response above and half below. That was odd.

Did you know that once you have a reaction to gluten, and go gluten-free, you'll be able to spot how it makes you sick alot easier once you've stopped eating it for a while? Your bowels will get irritated, like IBS symptoms, you'll get headaches, or even seizures in some people. Gluten sensitivity is hard to diagnose because you may not have normal reactions like hives or lung reactions. Gluten causes more of a full body systemic problem if your sensitive or allergic, and requires special testing to diagnose.

they wouldn't survive here.

Desert goats do well.

Did you know that Boer's are great meat goats, but most people who want an all purpose goat, will breed Nubian/beor crosses to get a combo goat?  These were my first experience with having/owning goats, eating goats and their milk a few years ago.
My friend has that cross. Very fertile, triplets she raised to market weight at ten weeks plus gave milk. I bought the only doe.
