No chicks, no ducks. Benny said "did you know eggs can carry and transmit horrible diseases??" And I asked if he was saying I had diseased eggs and he said "I don't know your flock."


BFF did good at the craft fair: I made $150, booth total was over $500.


Did you know that adorable "farm sweet farm" sign didn't sell and I couldn't believe it?!?!

nothing at all?   not one duck?  how many made to lockdown? 

wow that was great!!   what if you sold on ebay?  less because of shipping?  or etsy?
you know people, never know what will go and what wont. 

I put 6 in lockdown, but only two looked truly viable with good signs of life. But neither ever internally or externally pipped. A few people suggested bacteria, but I cleaned the bator and hatcher both with hot soap water and bleach. Something was clearly wrong, though.

Maybe the low early temps then that drastic spike weakened them? It was pretty high.

how high did you get ???  how long? 

It was 104-105, I can't remember. It happened between overnight, so not sure how long between the last turning and how long it took the temp to get that high.
