This time of year, with declining day length, one never knows when they will start laying. Changing day length is a clue to shut down production.
My 26 week olds don't look close.

did you know that I got a first egg today from an April 11th Australorp pullets? unusually early, I need to hatch in March next year. eleven pullets, first for all of them

Then mine may be 10 to 20 days away.
I like hatching in fall so they start laying in spring.

no, but did oyu know i only get 1-2 eggs per day

Did you know it irks DH to the core to have to go buy $30 worth of meal worms AND a carton of eggs?

thos are not the cookies i made but mine did actually look exactly like that
only my counters are black formica

did you know they still look perfect, and taste perfect even though the dough was outdated by a couple of weeks
did you also know that nobody else in my house is eating them?

When he's out of town the kids always have snacks & dessert here, but when he's here he's like a sugar vacuum. Did you know I actually have to keep a bag of chocolate chips hidden in a gamma bucket under a bunch of dried beans so the kids will have them when they want to make cookies?
