This time of year, with declining day length, one never knows when they will start laying. Changing day length is a clue to shut down production.
My 26 week olds don't look close.

Did you know that if you put a light bulb in the coop to increase the photoperyoda to at least 14 hours you can moderate the situation? ( ! Am sure you know that! )

Did you know the girls caught about 50 minnows with nets and put them in one of those plastic kiddie pools? They walked away and the goose walked over and had an easy to catch snack. They were so mad at him.
