We have gators here, too. We have one that lives in the canal near our house. We avoid the water here, just to be safe.

Did you know I ate nutrea once when I was in the Ukraine in the early nineties? It looks like a cross between a giant rat and a beaver. It tastes like greasy chicken. They prize them there as the furs are expensive so the family was sharing something special with us.
