Did you know that we are under a tornado warning? Ugh. Gonna be a long day.
Quote: My grandparents lived in central Illinois, where the land is flat as a table. I don't know whether they dug it or it was dug beforehand, but someone had dug an area large enough to stand & move around a bit, then mounded dirt over it and built a door on the sloped side, like what's known as a "bilco door" here in the USA. Grandma used it to keep milk & various foodstuffs in 'cause it was always cool. They called it "the cave"
why? its very yummyDYK I cannot eat that sourdough or "friendship" bread stuff?
why? its very yummy
It could be, I have told many here I have a slight Germophobe problem.
The idea of eating something that was a growing pile of bacteria for 2 months or 400 years drives me more bonkers than I am.
I will not eat food at a "potluck" or even family Picnic unless I know who made it and when, who touched it were it was and so on. Buffets scare me... I check every piece of silverware or dinnerware I use for "things". I hate a piece of YUCK left anywhere around it.
I am not a fan of restaurants.. I try to put out of my mind what and who touched the food in a grocery store.
I butcher most my own meats, smoke my own sausages and so forth.
Other than that I am almost normal....
BTW I had some 200 year old scotch once and loved it...
