Did you know..... Chat Thread! W/ Hosts: DwayneNLiz, kwhites634, BantyChooks, MotorcycleChick, C

I knew that was coming :gig Don't you remember your parents telling you "just because everyone else does it doesn't mean it's right"? Or, my personal favorite, "If Johnny jumped off a bridge would you do the same thing?"
I remember fine well, but see above anyway. Jumping from a bridge is not rational, Celsius is. :old

This kind of jumping off a bridge looks like fun.
OMG I THINK THAT IS THE SHOTOVER BRIDGE IN QUEENSTOWN NEW ZEALAND I did that jump a LONG LONG time ago when they just started doing it and before it became popular. Biggest regret was not getting the video but back then $20 on a student budget was too much :( Was I glad I did it -yup!! Was it fun - no Would I do it again -absolutely not!! I still have the T-shirt and some pics somewhere.

What makes one better than the other?

Celsius has freezing at zero and boiling at 100. Nice, even, easy to remember numbers. Now, in the other corner, we have Fahrenheit -- freezing is 32, for some reason, and boiling is 212??

Finally you understand that your unit system is stupid?
You Maseru distance by feet, a feet of a long gone English king! That decided that HIS foot will be the standard measurement for his subjects, and you use it! Bhaaaa
