I disagree as I understand it the virus is not extinct but exists in a couple, vaults US and Russia for sure..

I would not doubt if Israel doesn't have a few doses lying around also...

As long as it is in the places it is, for us it doesn't exist = 0 appearance since 79.
And we never let to an advantage to slip in between our fingers.....

Thus it is rare and hopefully will never re-appear, but we keep it just in case it does...Therefore "rare" is a better term for it than "extinct"...
