Dyk I changed things in the brooder today? I cut a hole between two boxes to add space. I should open the top of the second box, and add a screen to let more light in. I also changed the heat bulb for a household bulb. They are making a little noise, but I think it’s more “bright light!!” than complaining about temperature. It’s too inconsistent, and they are too active for it to be cold.

Dyk I was thinking of making tunnels through the house for the chicks to run through? I even considered using chicken wire, and lining the floor with paper towels.

Since you seem to be the closest of the current crew to me, I think your time would be better spent coming over here with an ice pick. No, not to stab me; to get rid of this gigantic block of ice known as Frederick Co. It's a whopping 17* here.
