I never wanted them, they have always been a little too noisy for my taste and a little too strange looking..... but my friend got some and one of the chicks ended up having a broken leg. Since i seem to be the fixer of all things she brought it to me to see if I could some how find a way to give it a better quality of life. It's little leg was splayed out, broken at the knee up high by the hip. The other chicks she had were picking on it and making it unhappy. So I bandaged up the little bugger to hopefully set the leg in a position it can somewhat use. So far so good and it is getting around with out too much harm. It is in with my baby chicks and seems to be very happy amongst all the little fuff balls. It is a little lavender Guinea............ so I guess I am an official Guinea owner now.
