Hey I just ordered Die-No-Mite strips from Smith Poultry and Game bird Supplies. Does anyone have experience with this product or company? When I visited Will Marrow to get my new birds he recommended that I get the die-no-mite strips and hang them in the coop door and I will never have mite or lice problems again. He also recommended this company as the place with the best prices on poultry supplies so I was wondering if anyone else uses them? the website is www.poultrysupplies.com.

Thanks,
Henry

We find that they work very well - for nine months out of the year. The bugs seem to gain resistance if we depend on the strips much longer than that.

When the birds that are in outside pens for the summer come inside for the winter we install all new strips in every community pen. We usually cut them in half since never more than five bantams are in a pen.

We use Sevin on the single caged birds in the winter time

When the birds fo outside for the summer we use a systemic (usually Cydektin) that covers all those bases for that time period.

Thanks Neil thats great to hear they work for you. I only got ten because I have one layer flock of 15 in one coop so I was thinking a few strips in the coop door would work. I will also keep using DE in the bedding and feed.

Thanks,
Henry

I just ordered some. Will let folks know if they work once I have had them in for a couple of months.
But from I have been reading, they work well.
