I have two RIRs for sure. I think I also have a Cherry Egger. I will try to get a picture of her but I was just wondering, what's the difference in these two?

Rhode Island Reds meet the standards to a certain degree. Cherry Eggers just lay. Not sure but I think that's the difference.

Cherry egger is a name that some hatcheries call their versions of "production reds" which is a production laying strain RIRed or some type of a "hybrid red layer" that the hatcheries also call "production reds". They are derived from crosses of RIReds and some say New Hampshires, or Leghorns and really there's no telling what all they cross up to come up with these Industrial Layers.

OK Thanks! So my RIRs should be alot more built than her? She's basically a "mutt" produced to lay eggs! lol
