I have two white chicks with 5 toes, feathered legs that are white skinned.
I think they may be Sultans based on the skin color on their legs. I understand the Silkies have dark skinned legs.
Posting pictures at a few days of age will not help identify sex...but would it help determine the difference in the breed?
Anyone who knows the difference, please look at the two photos and give me your opinion.

The first photo shows the two babies in the little flock....note the feathers on the legs and the white skin.

The second photo while fuzzy also shows the legs and the skin tone. You can barely see the split toes.

x2. The real giveaway is in the really upright stance and powerful thighs of the one in front in the first pic. Sultans are very forward, upright, chesty birds, even more so than Silkies. The word that comes to mind when I see them is "regal." My pair is just at breeding age and I am soooo anxious for them to "set up house"!
