Would you mind explaining to me what told you EE? Should an Ameraucana have solid coloring on her body? I definitely do not want to pay extra money for false birds in the future...

Ameraucana are only available in a handful of colors. Your girl does not match one of the standard accepted colors. When purchasing true Ameraucana, color is always specified. If no color is specified, it's an Easter Egger.

Look through the photos on the official Ameraucana website.

There are Brown Red Ameraucanas but those are SUPER rare.

The most common Ameraucana colors are Black, Blue, (splash, but that color is not listed on the website since it is not an accepted color), Wheaten, and Blue Wheaten (again, splash wheaten, eventhough that color is also not on the website since it is not an accepted color).

Not seen often, but out there, are white, much more rare is buff, then silver (which I actually think looks alot like an EE). And I think I have only once or twice seen photos of the Brown Red.

And that is it, there are NO other accepted colors.

The feather pattern of a brown red cock is pretty much the same as a wheaten and silver, but without a "wing triangle". A silver cock is silver/white where a brown red and wheaten is gold/red.

Brown red Ameraucana hen

this is our araucana (hopefully) rooster we purchased 2 weeks ago with 2 females (all about 18mth old), who im reluctant to post due to their lack of back feathers and butchered wing clips,
he was alone with the 2 hens when we got them, who apart from the lack of feathers seem healthy.
hes a really virile boy and has been running rampant with our other 4 hens, so im hoping the missing back feathers are due to his seemingly endless sex drive.
they were purchased from a french policeman who breeds them for the joy of it, pity he didnt learn to clip wings properly.
anyway, 1 hour after arriving home and introducing the trio into our small group, we got our 1st egg, with a 2nd following 30 minutes later.
