very glad I checked this thread out. Now I know my chicks are not americaunas as stated, they are ee's
I don't mind as I love the color variations of the ee's. I can't wait to see what my little ones look like when they feather out!

Based on their leg color in the pictures, green only comes from blue over yellow skin, so if their legs are green their skin is yellow. Thanks so much. I know that they were all hatched out of blue eggs. The bottoms of their feet are white and their skin is white under their feathers as well. I had a feeling they were EE but just wanted to make sure.
Araucana - Ameraucana -. Easter Egger ???? What type is my little 'Marsala'?
That is the $60, 000 question. It would really make life easier if they did, but hatcheries call anything that may be mixed with the blue egg gene an Easter Egger. In reality you are going to get pink, brown, green, and blue eggs cause the chicks are random crosses. Ameraucanas were bred from Easter Eggers derived from native South American Araucanas. The APA officially accepted Ameraucana as standard breeds in 1984 and to be anOk we just bought 18 chicks from our local feed store an the tag said amerauans yeah I am sure I did not spell it right but any way I been reading about the breed an its basically a arucana with a tail what's the difference ???? Confused so why are they not just called a Easter egg ??
