is it too difficult to tell if that's a lavender or a blue ameraucana? lady was selling "lavender araucana".... >.>;
I asked her about the hen but no reply yet.

Hard to see, but if you're talking about the one in the middle I would guess it's blue due to the darker head and neck... Lavender should be a more uniform shade all across the body... easiest way to tell blue from lavender is blue is laced while lavender is not...
 
I k ow it's hard to tell age young, but this 4 week old faced off my little naked neck chick this afternoon. Opinions?

Mine are almost 4 weeks old too. I have noticed two different comb styles... and have noticed since they were way younger. Is this typical of the breed? If the wider combs are males then I have 4 males and 2 females :( or do some female chicks have this style comb?

Pea combs can show gender, not guaranteed but fairly accurate IME.....1 row of peas is female, 3 rows is male.
Not always accurate in EE's as they are crosses of who knows what and often have modified peacombs.
