Different breeds in the same brooder?

Hi~
I was wondering if I can put a two week old pullet (yellow) with a 3 week old rhode island red? I would hate to keep them in a brooder all by themselves. One of my brooders have 6 5 day old barred rocks. Can one of them (barred rocks when 2 weeks old) be raised with the other to even the brooders out??? Any help will be appreciated.

At this time, I'd work on getting them all together, if the brooder is big enough. Set the heat under the lamp to match the needs of the youngest ones, and then let them together when they have treats, They should have at least 1 - 2 s.f./chick to give them plenty of room to play around and to get away from the heat as needed. The heat at the opposite end of the brooder (from where the heat is) should be down to 70* or so.
