different color- different hen???

Ok, got my second egg this a.m. ( beautiful!). I have 2 questions,
first, all my hens lay brown eggs, today's egg was much lighter in the color than yesterday's, would that be from a different hen or can one hen lay eggs of varying color tone?
Second, how long does it take for a hen to lay again. Do they need at least a full 24 hrs.? This egg came in less than 24 hrs. than the last.

It's more than likely another hen. It usually takes a bit more than 24 hours between eggs.

I agree with Arlee, but I have only two hens, and I know which egg belongs to which hen by their size.
One hen always lays larger eggs.

Also I have gotten lighter brown, dark brown and lovely speckled eggs from the both of them.

Well, I got a total of 3 eggs in a 24 hr. period of time. Not sure if I'll see anymore today or not, but that's Ok, I'm just pleased it's finally happening. I do think it was 2 different hens though, I have a total of 5. Just they way they acted when I went to the coop tells me this.....
