…It’s honestly times like these where I question myself why I bother planting anything outdoors anymore
And then there are the good years.

One year I lost the whole garden to a late August hail storm. It was too late for anything to recover. I didn't even get one quart of tomatoes canned that year.

Hey AMM10,
Sorry to hear of your loss. We plant to grow things with our own hands. I lost everything last year too rabbit’s but I salvaged my year by taking about 15 rabbits out of circulation and into the freezer. I redid my garden fence this spring and I guarantee no rabbits are getting in. I like growing my own food, like tonight for dinner I grilled T-bone steaks and we had sliced cucumbers and tomatoes, and roasted green beans with butter and garlic. All the veggies came out of the garden including the garlic and all the herbs.

I'm sorry about your plants. I've had this happen myself. Very discouraging.

When we garden we are always at the mercy of the weather. Just know that no two years will be the same. Some years are very good!

This year here it has been very hot and dry. Just getting rain recently after weeks of temps 95-100 with heat indexes to 110 and no rain. It's been difficult to keep things watered. Heat wears you down. I'm getting a good harvest but have to work
hard for it.

So good weather or bad I just keep planting. There will always be successes and failures.

Hand pollinated using 2 male Whopper blossoms from the other Whopper plant. The bees are busy so it may also get pollen from the BM/DGA blossoms.
