At that price, it better come with a germination guarantee.

The fellow with the previous world record was selling his seeds for $199 for one seed.

Makes me wonder how many they sold.

If I thought I could grow and sell seed at those prices, I would plant acres of giant pumpkins!

#s 4, 6 & 7 were hand pollinated with male Whopper blossoms. #s 6 & 7 were pollinated on the same day, minutes apart. This doesn't look very promising for #7.

#2 is the biggest one. It is 7" long by 6" wide and 5" high.

There was one female bud that never opened and is shriveling up. There is now a second female bud that looks like it might bloom in a couple of days.

Week #10 update. My poor plants are still struggling to survive after last weekends hailstorm but they’re really trying, even though there’s slim to no chance of them making it:

…It’s honestly times like these where I question myself why I bother planting anything outdoors anymore
