Wow you do live in some very beautiful country!!! And I assume you are a elk hunter? I always wanted to go to the Yukon and hunt moose but I am pretty sure that will never happen unless I win the lottery.

Unfortunately I don't get to hunt elk anymore. Live alone, no one to take care of the poultry and watering. Garden harvest also coincides with hunting season.

#1 day 26 - 13" long and 12" in diameter.

Prognosis is not good. First blossoms should have been in June but didn't happen until July. Essentially lost the first month of the growing season to cool weather.

This morning's low temperature was 45⁰F. Really needs 60⁰F at night for optimal growth.

With a tape measure. Same as I am measuring length. No, I don't have a caliper that big.

Thanks for the thought but even if it isn't warm enough for the garden. It is nice enough for my comfort.
