Hello fellow chicken lovers! I've been wranglin' dinosaurs for about 10 years. Currently I have 11 adults, 5 Cinnamon Queens, 3 Black Austrolorps and 3 light Americanas. This year I saw babies at the feed store and lost my mind, getting 6 more pullets, 2 more Americanas and 4 of a breed I'm not familiar with although they were advertised as Golden Comets. They certainly aren't that! I'm going to post a picture of one of these in the hopes some of you might know what breed they are. All of my googling came to naught. They are about 7, 8 weeks old now.
I also tragically was given 2 Cornish Cross chicks. I don't eat anything with a face, so I won't cull them even if I could do, which I can't. I will just do my best by them and hope they have a long life living here at pasture with the rest of the flock. Poor things do have a hard time getting around, lay down most of the time. I have them on a special diet to hopefully prevent them from becoming horribly fat.
So warm greetings, fellow dinosaur persons. Blessing to all.
