George is her peacock, I'm pretty sure... from the thread about him nearly losing his leg. Yes, I am stalking--er, following--her, and went through all her threads. Somehow found the one about her peacock named George.

I love watching the hens during their treat chase. The winner usually is the one who can wolf it down the fastest. After all if they stop too long with a treat in the mouth, it will get snatched. Even the roundest hens are motivated to run fast. They really get their exercise.

Too bad about Steel's hen pecked comb. Now we need to invent a comb protector.

I have heard that during breeding season that peacock's will dance and flare around anything. The two I know single adult males Laurel and Hardy have been flaring and dancing a pile of tires and a gypsy cob pony.

My Iowa Blues are the exact same way! Just yesterday, there was a 10-minute mad chase all over the yard over a mushroom stem of all things! Talk about cheap entertainment.
