Now I'm confused. Is DE good for chickens? After a family bonfire, I always dump the ashes into the back corner of the yard as the chickens love to bathe in it and lately I've been dumping a few cups of DE in with the ash as I thought it was good for them. Am I wrong? We get a lot of snow here in Minnesota and since their dust bath options will be limited for the next 5 months, I was thinking of dumping DE into a tub to allow them to bath in it during the winter months. The best to way look at is.
There is DE that is used as pest control.
There is animal feed grade DE that is used as an anti-caking agent.
All other uses are open to interpretation.
