Cream is a Blue Cream Light Brown Dutch Pullet weighing in at around 15 ouces at the time of the picture. Her feathers look splotchy because some are new because a hawk almost got her little butt.

Jerry is a Standard Black Cochin weighing around 14 pounds at that time. Jerry had a very large hole dug under him. He is my Show Rooster that I was not showing at the time, his feathers were trimmed for breeding.

Great photos THANKS for the awesome views.

I'm using deep litter, birds have been in new litter since December. Yesterday temp was over freezing for the first time in a long while and the sun was clear in the sky most of the day; when I came into coop collecting afternoon eggs there were 4 or 5 6-8" deep holes in the bedding. They must have been having a good old time - they were all covered with shavings (dirty shavings), but they acted very happy. Will take photos next time.

Birds ventured outside today for long while.... There was dirt visible around and under the coop the coop and they took advantage; made them very happy.
