Oh dawn, I bought a tiny bottle when I first brought my cat home as a kitten (he was from a barn cat family), he was full of fleas. I've only ever bathed him twice in his life, lol, he **hates** it. I wonder if that bottle is still around...

Yes Dawn dish soap works really well on birds. Just a couple of drop will do in a dish tub.

Oh also a heating pad with a towel over it works great at keeping them warm after a bath.

I put them to bed in the dark and warm furnace room, but she still wouldn't stop chirping. So I went in to check on them. She was moving around a tinnnny bit more, so I put the food in front of her and ....she ate!
She's a lot more quiet now... maybe she was just hungry

does anyone know why her wings are flopped to the side as opposed to being held up on her back?

Probably the feathers growing out everywhere which she has to compensate for, to be comfortable. Does look like a dust mop. Very cute.

Not yet! I’m holding out to see if she makes it

I’m reading that silkies are a lot calmer as a breed, maybe that’s why she’s so inactive?

But if she does, I think I’ll name her Susu after the sootball in Spirited away
