Has anyone tried this for their small ponds?I have a 50 gallon poly tub. It says it’s chemical free. I don’t want to empty it so often thought this would help.

I know of several similar bacteria based products that help, yet for duck pools, maybe not enough. Barely works, also slowly possibly not fast enough. If you want minnows or anything to live in the water, study up on how much and when to use.

"2) As fungi eat away at the remains of the barley material, humic acid is produced, which is the first major step towards algae control. As the humic acids leech into the surrounding water it reacts with oxygen and sunlight, becoming more and more unstable and eventually forming a super-oxide radical which leads to hydrogen peroxide."

Duck water is healthy even when not so clear. Hold a white object under, seechi dish, to check water visibility. Should be healthy down to 24"+ visibility. (18" if you keep an eye on it and change if water is anything other than 'soupy,' water may become toxic if unknown plant life becomes patchy or matts develop.)
