Disappeared without a trace

Hi,
Today somewhere between 12 -3pm two of my seven chickens(8 mo old) disappeared without a trace. They were both molting so I would think if anything was to grab them there would be feathers everywhere however no feathers were found. There is no way they could get out of their enclosure. Its 4 ft high. Its a mystery to me. I have looked all over for them. ???????

I’ve never seen a chicken that couldn’t clear a 4ft fence.

We have chickens that can fly over our 5 1/2 ft fence, so it's possible that it flew over.
You better clip wing feathers...

@roosterhavoc is right, chickens can fly well, especially if their light weight birds.

They have never tried before and none of them are flightly chickens. I have wyandottes, barred rock, cuckoo Maran and orpingtons. One wyandotte and one Maran is missing.

I would think 8 weeks old is a little too young. What about an aerial attack, Hawk owl etc?

Coyote, fox, or bobcat are the likely opportunists. Be on guard as whatever it was it will return.
