It must have been an awful moment when you realized what kitty had done. I am so glad that all was not lost.

That is a perfect example of why I don't allow pets in my house....except for my chicks. My husband says that it's not fair, but I explain to him (very casually) that the chicks aren't "pets" they are my children. And then I proceed to inform him that he's gonna be booted outside before the chicks ever would be.

Oh I'm so glad that things are turning out okay. This is my nightmare!!

I have a cat that has been sitting outside the spare bedroom door, whining to get into that room. (baby chicks and ducks are in there with the incubator)

He would definitely jump up on top of it to sleep on it.

Just wanted to thank everyone for all of the positive vibes - I have no doubt you all saved the chickies

I think it's a wrap. at 6 out of 12. All Healthy. Will post if any more hatch.
