discouraging... :( *rant*

I don't know why this is happening...but I am starting to get discouraged with all the problems I am having with the chickens. My adult flock has/had something like a cold. Dunno what to do to get rid of it. Leave for our vacation and come back to my teenage and also the couple week olds (they are separated from each other and the flock) having something..guessing its avian pox...It seems to me that the more I started to worry aobut them...the worse it got. I am beginning to feel as if I am doing something wrong and should just get rid of them.... I am starting to not even enjoy going to the run because I feel everytime I go, there is somethin else wrong with them. I sure hope it gets better soon.

Some of my youngsters are going through fowl pox too right now. They get over it. Nothing for you to do other than monitor for ones not doing so well, maybe pull them aside and give them some privacy and baby them for a few days.

How long does fowl pox last? The ones that had runny noses has stopped for the most part...lost some weight tho.. and not laying eggs...should I just be patient with them? Most of them are golden sex links...ones that I was told that hardly ever stop laying.

P.S. Temps here are really high...could that also be a problem?
