What type of injuries do they have? Where are the injuries located? can we get a close up picture? I am going to guess it was a group of animals, most likely dogs, because I doubt one animal would be able to chase down and kill 30 free ranging birds.

If it was dogs I don't think they will be back anytime soon, they likely escaped from a neighbor's house and are already caged back up. Did you just have 30 birds? Or did they just kill 30 birds? Did they eat any full birds? A coyote or fox or any other natural predator would have eaten some of the birds. Foxes cache their kills so that rules them out.

The chicks seem to have been ragdolled there are no visible teeth marks only tears. Momma bird has chunks tho, here they are. Hole is about the size of a quarter.

There was one that was completely eaten with some guts left behind, another partially eaten. The rest were not touched.

That’s so difficult I’m sorry what a brave mama hen
My guess would be dogs. An electric fence is amazing. It’s saved my birds from all sorts of stuff. Never had a ground predator issue, only two hawk attacks, and something got my hen blossom when she escaped the electric fence. I’m on my third year of having chickens and I’d give my fence 100 stars.

Ok it was definitely dogs, I would guess there was more than one, probably 3 or 4 at least. Do any of you neighbors have dogs?

Neighbor directly across from me has a few cats and other neighbor has a small terrier that’s not big enough to make those prints.
