Dishes for grit and oyster shells

Rabbit feeders. One for oyster shell, one for grit.

I use empty tuna cans, one in chicken house for oystershell, screwed onto wall 2x4 about 8 inches up from floor. Use 2 short wood screws, predill 2 holes in can, one above the other, about 1/2 inch apart. The 2 screws will keep the hens from turning the can and spilling. Do same thing for grit outside on post of pen for grit, but drill small holes around bottom edge to drain water out. No cost except a little time.

I bet cat food cans would work! Good idea

33 cents a piece, or 3 for a dollar at dollar tree,

I just mount it to the wall with 2 or 3 screws.

But sometimes you get what you paid for. out of the 17 I have installed 2 ended up like this.... the same rooster was in both coops when the crime occurred.

But for 33 cents they are pretty easy to replace.
